WellonaPharma.com claims to be a reputable online pharmacy located in India. Their official website also claims they are an internationally recognized distributor of various pharmaceutical products. However, after doing some research, we suggest users tread with caution when ordering from this online drugstore. Here’s a breakdown of what we know about this pharmacy below.
|Date of Registration||2016-10-26|
|Name of Organisation||Wellona Pharma|
|Licenses, Certificates and Approvals|
|Live Chat Option||no|
According to WhoIs, the website was registered on October 26, 2016, indicating that this online pharmacy has been around for quite some time. The drugstore’s website was also recently updated on September 30, 2022, a sign that this website remains active.
Based on the site’s About Us page, this pharmacy goes by Wellona Pharma and is located in Surat, India. Even though they claim to be a reputed supplier and exporter of several medications, they do not explicitly state how long they have been operating in the pharmaceutical industry. Setting that aside, they readily provide their contact details and headquarters’ address on their website.
In addition, they also scored 100 out of 100 points in ScamAdviser. Results from ScamAdviser also helped us confirm that this pharmacy is, in fact, based in India. They are also labeled safe by DNSFilter and have a valid, working SSL certificate.
Of course, these findings aren’t enough to say that this pharmacy can be trusted. After all, the company owner’s identity is concealed using a paid service. On top of that, they also have a low Tranco rank, which contradicts their claims of being a leading worldwide distributor of medicine.
Despite claiming to be an internationally recognized supplier of medicine, Wellona Pharma isn’t part of official online medicine registries such as NABP. Moreover, LegitScript also doesn’t have any information about this website. Although they aren’t labeled with a rogue status, it’s a clear indication that this drugstore is likely selling products that aren’t safe for consumption.
Products and Pricing
As stated in the beginning, online pharmacy sells a wide variety of medications. Here are some of the product categories listed on their website:
- Painkillers, Hepatitis Treatment
- Anti Diabetes, Anti Cancer
- Antibiotics, Anti Inflammatory
Besides selling medicine, they also sell other products, likely in an attempt to cater to several customers. These miscellaneous products include infusions, inhalers, nasal sprays, eye drops, and ear drops. Each product page has a complete description of what customers need to know about the product.
However, unlike other online pharmacies, Wellona Pharma doesn’t explicitly state the prices of its products. You will have to inquire about the cost of the product you wish to purchase, which further raises our suspicions about this online drugstore.
Payment and Shipping
The drugstore doesn’t list any available payment methods on its website. After all, orders here are processed via inquiries. From what we assume, you can only find out the available payment methods once you make an inquiry and proceed with your order.
Even their popup form for inquiries doesn’t indicate the payment methods you could possibly choose from. In addition, they also don’t have available information regarding shipment and delivery methods, which is another red flag about this drugstore. They just state in the Logistics section of their Global Presence page that they are capable of meeting the delivery needs of their customers, which isn’t enough assurance to customers at all.
This online pharmacy doesn’t seem to dedicate a product review section on its website. Since the pharmacy is based in India, we tried looking for WellonaPharma.com reviews on India Mart, an Indian customer testimonial site, to prove the drugstore’s credibility. Even though 48% percent of the ratings consisted of five-star ratings, 27% of them were one-star ratings.
Many of the one-star ratings claim that the pharmacy is unresponsive to customer inquiries. We also found a customer saying that the drugstore could not get the goods delivered to them in India.
The red flags we uncovered from our investigation indicate that this online drugstore shouldn’t be easily trusted. Although the company may not be entirely a scam, the drugstore’s lack of transparency with their product pricing and non-inclusion of product reviews on their site are enough reasons to make users think twice when placing an order here.
Due to the stated reasons, we’ll only give this pharmacy a 50% trust level.
