Generic-Drugs.biz is an online drugstore that claims to have over 15 years of experience in selling men’s generic health drugs at a cheaper price. They also claimed that their products have the necessary approvals and their business is supported by the most advanced systems available. However, the website looks like just another scam from the outside, which prompted us to review the pharmacy. Read below to know more about this business before you decide to buy anything from them.
|Date of Registration||2017-08-14|
|Name of Organisation||unknown|
|Licenses, Certificates and Approvals|
|Live Chat Option||yes|
Our investigation began by checking the pharmacy’s domain details. Its Whois data says the domain was registered on 14th August 2017 and its set to expire on 14th August 2020. So, the business existed for almost 3 years not 15 years as they claim. So, their first lie is caught. The website’s loading speed is also very average and it shares its server with 36 other websites.
The pharmacy’s ScamAdviser details say that the owner chose to remain anonymous and does not want to reveal their identity and location. By doing this, the owner protects their identity and business from legal scrutiny, which is common among rogue business owners. The business is operated from two countries – the United States and a random unknown country. They have a live chat option on their website which provides some automated answers while their email and telephone option does not work.
We also checked their regulatory status with various legal authorities such as CIPA, MPA, NABP, etc to confirm their authenticity. Unsurprisingly, the business has no mention in any of their databases establishing their rogue status. Furthermore, LegitScript also reviewed the pharmacy and its products and gave them a rogue rating meaning their products have failed to meet their standard guidelines and deemed not safe for human consumption.
The pharmacy sells men’s generic health drugs and claims to maintain a large inventory of all their products. They also cover a wide range of diseases and illnesses in various categories. Some of their best-selling categories include:
The pricing of their best-selling drugs mentioned on their website bound to raise some eyebrows. There is no way these drugs are actual drugs approved by concerned authorities. They did not mention where they source and dispense their drugs from but it is most likely from developing countries such as India, China, etc where these drugs are counterfeited and sold at a lower rate.
Again, not much information is available regarding their supported payment methods but they most likely support credit cards from Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, etc. The website and their payment getaway both are not secured with SSL encryption meaning they will likely try to steal or duplicate your sensitive personal information when you checkout.
The pharmacy claims to ship their products worldwide with restrictions on some countries due to stricter laws. They use the following two shipping methods:
❋ US Airmail and
❋ EMS Courier Service
The delivery will take 7 to 45 working days depending on your location and shipping method you choose and will cost $29.95. It could get delayed at the customs also, so you need to stay calm if the parcel does not arrive within the stipulated duration. They also offer reshipment of orders when the parcel is lost, tampered, or does not arrive within 30 days of dispatch. However, you will pay the delivery charges of the reshipment.
The pharmacy does not have a testimonial page, so we had to look at external review platforms such as TrustPilot. Fortunately, the platform does have some comments with an average trust score of 3.2 out of 5 stars. The reviews on the platform are mixed, but the sentiment is largely negative from their past customers.
From the beginning of our article, it was clear that is just another rogue pharmacy and not vice versa. Everything we checked gone against them. The owner is not transparent, no regulatory approval, no SSL seal, no customer reviews, long shipping time, etc all are signs of a scam business. If you were thinking of buying something from them then think again. You will likely be exposed to identity theft and other harassment if you do so.
