Domain Information
The WhoIs data says the domain was first created on 18th May 2018 and currently has an expiry date of 10th May 2020. This is rather strange for a pharmacy that claims to be in the business of more than 3 years. Also, this short lifespan of exactly one year is very common among rogue pharmacies. The registrant of the domain is Paknic Private Ltd which is based in Pakistan. For a pharmacy claiming to be based in Canada, this looks rather suspicious and a potential scam.
Business Profile
The ScamAdviser data says the owner is hiding its identity by using a proxy service. The service is also masking their actual location. Due to this, we are unable to decipher both their identity and location. They have provided the business name of CanadianDrugStore Ltd along with a license number on the bottom of their website. However, they did not mention the issuing authority so that we can verify it. Their live chat option is useless as it mostly gives some automated answers and their social media pages are largely unresponsive.
Regulatory Approval
The pharmacy is not registered with any concerned legal authorities such as CIPA, PharmacyChecker, MPA, etc as we did not find the business name on any of these authority’s database. LegitScript reviewed the pharmacy and classifies it as a rogue one meaning its products are not ideal for human consumption and probably cause some side effects.
Available Products
The pharmacy sells men’s generic health drugs along with some other health medicines to their customers. However, most of their best-selling items are generic health drugs that boost performance on the bed. Some of their products include:
❋ Allergies, Antibiotics, Antifungal
❋ Cancer, Cholesterol
❋ Diabetes
❋ Migraine and others
Product Pricing
All their best-selling products have ridiculously low prices. You won’t have these drugs on traditional markets at these prices. One of the reasons for such low prices is they are sourced and dispensed from India and all these products are approved by the Indian FDA. However, we were unable to verify that claim as they did not provide any evidence of it.
Payment Options
The pharmacy accepts payments via credit cards issued by Visa and Mastercard. They don’t accept any other method as of now. You will be transferred to an external payment getaway during checkout. They claim that the payment getaway is secured, but the page had no SSL security seals on it. This means they will most likely duplicate your information and use it in various fraudulent activities.
Shipping Methods
The pharmacy claims to ship products internationally and they use two shipping methods to ship their products. They are:
❋ Trackable Courier Service, with an estimated delivery period of 7 to 9 business days and $29.95 per package
❋ International Unregistered Mail with an estimated delivery period of 2 to 3 weeks and $9.95 per package
If you don’t receive your products within the stipulated period, you can contact them for a refund or re-shipment of the product. They also free generic pills with every order you make on their website.
Customer Testimonials
They have their own customer testimonial page where you can read the experience of their previous customers. However, during our investigation, we found that most of these Meds-Plus.com reviews are fake and generated by the owner to attract more customers. Moreover, several of these testimonials can be seen on many rogue websites and is a major indicator of scam business.
Conclusion
After concluding our investigation, we can clearly say that this is not a legit business and there are several reasons to say so. The owner’s decision to hide their identity and location, fake reviews, no SSL certificates, and legal approvals are all common indicators of scam business. The pharmacy is running its operations from Pakistan and not based in Canada. It is considered as a high-risk country for such businesses and will most likely dupe their customers as well as steal their sensitive information.
We give this pharmacy a 10% trust level based on our investigation.
